About Us
Boland Muslim Burial Society (BMBS) was established May 2015 to make provision for halaal financial assistance to cover Janaazah expenses.
The Society is managed by Alamien Gaidien and Anwar du Plesis with the assistance of three collectors, Jamiela Francke (Amstelhof), Anisa du Plesis (Charleston Hill) and Latiefa Davids (Groenheuwel).

Our Service
Our service covers the cost to the Municipality for the grave and to Paarl Muslim Jamaa’ for Kafan material, planks, oils, transport and burial service plus R1,000 cash to a nominated beneficiary on the day of the Janaazah.
3 Burial Plans are available:
- Standard Plan @ R70 p.m for main member and spouse younger than 65 and any number of unmarried children up to age 20. (Full cover from month seven)
- Senior Silver Plan @ R70 p.m for members older than 64. (Limited cover from month seven)
- Senior Gold Plan @ R140 p.m for members older than 64. (Full cover from month seven)
Important Terms & Conditions
A six month waiting period is applicable on all new applications. From month seven, the full burial costs are covered for members on the Standard and Senior Gold Plans. Should the member pass away during the six month waiting period, cover will be limited to total contributions.
Members aged 65 years and older on join date and subscribed to the Senior Silver Plan at R70 p.m, will enjoy limited cover if death occurs within the following periods:

| 1 to 6 Months | Equal to amount contributed |
| 7 to 12 Months | Contributions + 25% |
| 13 to 24 Months | Contributions + 50% |
| 25 to 36 Months | Contributions + 75% |
| From 37 Months | Contributions x 2 |
⚠️The above benefits on the Senior Silver Plan will be applied in the following sequence, depending on available funds:
1. Firstly to Municipality for cost of grave
2. Balance to Paarl Muslim Jamaa for Kaffan
3. Only if funds are left after settling the above, will the remaining cash be distributed to the nominated beneficiary, but not exceeding R1,000.
